University Blues (And Violets)
Yesterday we went to Oxford, a beautiful university town, and my final impression, which I think you will agree is a continuing theme of this trip Jim and I are on, is that I want to move there. Very much.
The only olfactory thing of note is that just outside the train station were a number of lovingly tended trees bearing massive clusters of tiny blue-violet flowers. They resembled minuscule lilacs, but not really, and they smelled a bit like lilacs, but not really; sharper, greener, without that lilac creaminess. Jim has pictures; I'll share them with you when we get back, and see if we can't figure out what they are.
